My name is Piotr Woloszyn, I was born and raised in Poland, Eastern Europe. Couple of years ago I started my adventure abroad. I live now in North London, the city to be loved and hated. I spent some time as well in Geneva, Switzerland. My dream is to have the power to do what I want and when. Until that day, I will work slavishly. Right now I am a Software Engineer working for British Telecom, company behind Web21C project which I am happy to put my energy on. I’m a graduate of Warsaw University of Technology, Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology and specialized in Computer Science and Software Engineering. The experience is something else I will never forget. Being around so many gifted people is humbling, but helped me also realize that smarts are not the only thing important and creativity are equally important.
Being well-rounded is a virtue I strive for daily. While trying to divorce myself from digital world will always be a lost cause, I have always enjoyed well-natured fun. Ever since I was a kid I’ve been fascinated by mountains. In general I have always been into team sports like basketball but as it is not always easy to organize bigger groups lately I am more for one-on-one challenging sports, which is why I have focused on skiing. Trying to perfect form and master carving and powder. I guess I like the idea of challenging oneself. Nature is something I don’t think anyone could fully appreciate without. Other than this I play tennis, badminton, squash and in general try to be outdoors.
I am pretty obsessed with opensource and agile methodologies and social aspect of software. I love linux but believe that one should use whatever does the job best. Besides I try to study (again) the French language, enjoy music, travel and do my small hobby: photography.
