OpenSocial API
Looks like I am writing only about Google but it is just because they produce pretty interesting stuff. This time Google created a new API which will help you to create apps which can run on any social network which uses this API. Sounds like Facebook? The API will consist of three groups: People, Storage and Activities. So, watch tomorrow http://code.google.com/apis/opensocial (documentation) and http://sandbox.orkut.com (sandbox).

It’s cool and all, but before you get reuse, they have to use it and what social networking sites does Google have, Okrut? pah! Mind you, Kevin Marks is a good bet, so worth watching. Of course someone else will no doubt write a flickr, twitter, facebook, etc export, but the have XFN versions already.

Scary to say but you are very often right. Anyway… Very good blog pointing the problems of OpenSocial by Tim O’Reilly: http://radar.oreilly.com/archives/2007/11/opensocial_social_mashups.html
